I know people change because I've changed. We may have some similarities under the surface, but the human being just isn't happy with things always being exactly the same. People change as they grow up, then continue to change as things get boring or we become dissatisfied.

I still have a lot of life ahead of me, of course, and as I go through it, I'll change even more. I'll probably break up and fall in love, hopefully get married, move around, settle in a city I like with a job I can at least tolerate, adopt a pet, try new hobbies, continue to progress in martial arts training styles, and each of these things will change me in some small or large way.

I used to hate change as a kid, now I accept it, and even embrace it. I like discovering and pursuing new interests, meeting new people, making new friends, hearing new stories. No one is exactly the same from one day to the next, and that's what makes it interesting to face the world each day.

Sorry for being so "I-sound-so-insightful-don't-I?" on this one. It's not my usual style, but it's just how it came out today.
