- (Do you think people can) Change?
-
To an extent, yeah, people change. Our personalities shift over time: what we value, believe in, are attracted to etc. etc. We're shaped by our experiences whether we like it or not. At the same time, I don't think core traits, such as being introverted, change. Just looking at myself: The things I believe in and want for myself now are completely the opposite to what I wanted ten years ago. But I'm still quiet, I keep to myself, I don't make emotional judgements, and I tend to think everything through. I think things through *better*, with experience.
All that said, I figure most might take this question as something to do with relationships, so, where that's concerned: Yes, I think people change. It makes sense that over.. granted, maybe a long period of time, people will change because they'll grow with experience, their situation in life will change, and they will want something different. They'll want someone new. If people didn't change, one-time happy marriages would never end.
