2 Stork young on nest

I don't usually DO a lot anyway, so this Summer will not be any different but if I can just change the question slightly and ask...

What am I most Looking Forward to This Summer...I can answer that quite easily.

I am looking forward to ONE day...yes...just ONE day without rain.

The season of Summer started off quite well....the snow disappeared and the sun came out.
For at least two or three weeks the sun blazed down.
The Storks arrived to sort out their nests after the winter ravages and then settled down to having a family. A small baby head popped over the top of the nest , clearly visible from the road side.

The Swallows returned, squawking and making a mess like they do. They were flying under the roof with bits of straw from the barn and twigs from the ground, getting on at a grand old rate, in between having fights with those birds who tried to infiltrate their territory.

Now it is all quiet..they have all flown away. I think that they have returned from whence they came...deciding that if Bulgaria was this cold and this wet that they would be better off where they were.

AND...quite honestly I do not blame them....

Every day it is rain, rain, rain. It is not needed here ...send it to The Sahara where people really do need it to save their lives.

The 'locals' and sages are perplexed that we should be having such weather....the hay is not ripening in the fields so there will be a shortage during the winter, in fact the hay is lying in the fields sodden.
The woodsman cannot get to the trees to get the logs for winter fuel..it is just too wet.

So the next few months look quite bleak and so does the weather. So what am I looking forward to?
