Tight Deadlines and Red Tape
Deadline
A deadline in itself challenges me and pushes me to deliver the desired results in a given amount of time. However, the weight of the burden multiplies and the pressure exaggerates when working with a tight schedule - when the time remaining to execute the task at hand is not adequate to achieve the desired result. Thus, the stress.
Red Tape
The frustrating part about red tape is that it is not you who holds the control. The whole tedious process lies in the hands of other people who do not seem to understand the course and yet follows it blindly. You cannot do anything, but succumb to the unnecessary stalling before attaining the end-product. Thinking of how to take the easy way is just stressful and is oftentimes futile - which brings about more stress.
Tight Deadline + Red Tape = /wrist
When the two are put together in a situation, it brings out the best and the worst in a person. You have to come up with unthinkable and yet effective ways on how to get the job done the fastest way and at the same time anticipate the additional roadblocks caused by the existence of red tape. Stress at its finest.
