I have been reading maps since I was about eight years of age, when my parents decided to move from the State of Georgia, in the southern portion of the United States, to Texas. I was my father's navigator on that trip, as well as about every trip our family ever took, if we were going to a destination we had never before been. I was also my mother's navigator when she again began driving, and my husband's navigator whenever he had to go to unknown destinations, as well.

Most times, I don't need a map, but if I am going to someplace which requires preplanning, I go to mapquest.com, or to googlemaps.com,, just to be sure of the best roads and routes.

I seem to have an automatic sense of direction, so I can pretty much to anyplace without getting lost.

I really cannot comprehend how anyone can get lost going in a straight line, which my dear mother could and would do from time to time.

I really miss that loving, sweet woman. Margaret H. Dawson: 05/20/1914-01/02/1984

I really do also miss my dad: Robert L. Dawson: 12/04/1904-01/01/1986
