• The Question is: Are You Good at Reading Maps?
    • I certainly am!

Joe Crow waving passing truck driver

When I drove an 18 wheeler across country, we didn't have all the electronic gadgets that trucker's have these days. All I had was a CB radio and a good paper map! But I drove a million miles from one state to another and never got lost! Yes, I was good at reading maps! It always made my day when the dispatcher would say to me, "Good job delivering that load! You got there on time." My bosses did like my driving skills and I was always dedicated to my job to do the best I could. I loved driving a big rig across the USA, besides getting to see America in the raw, I also liked being by myself, stopping to eat or resting in a truck stop or rest area when I wanted to, not when someone else wanted to. All my life I have been a loner, even when I was a kid, going all around NYC visiting places like zoos and museums. I would spend hours just looking at things and learning. One of my favorite places to visit was F.A.O. Schwarz Toy Store on 5th Ave.

I spent many hours there watching the trains go around and no one ever threw me out! Thank You!
Guess what? I still do not have a GPS gadget or radar detector, and never will!
      God Bless us all+
