    • Reading '45 by Bill Drummond' opened my eyes
    • Bill Drummond was the manager of Echo and the Bunnymen. He was also in The KLF/The Jams/The K Foundation.

He is a Scotsman who chose to live in Liverpool rather than Manchester. He is a man who has been portrayed by the media as an Art Terrorist. He has done many ridiculous things in his life (like burn a million pounds in reaction to the Turner Prize).

For the reasons given in paragraph two above, I used to think he was a prize cunt.

Then I read his book, and he's actually not that bad a person. Quite witty and funny, and with some interesting points of view.

I read his book and I ended up quite liking him.

The media have a lot to answer for. Of course, my brain must take a share in the blame for my initial dislike of Mr Drummond. But the media are due the lion's share.

I wonder if Mr Drummond agrees...
