I know it is cheesy, but I read it unknowing of all the Oprah hoopla. I thought that it was a great story when viewed as a story not as whatever classification (memoir) the book was placed in. The writing style is simple, can give inspiration to anyone who has thought of writing (that was meant to be a compliment if it came of as something other than).
