    • Not a day goes by that I'm not influenced in some way by 'Harold and the Purple Crayon'
    • One night, after thinking it over for some time, Harold decided to go for a walk in the moonlight. But there wasn't any moon, and Harold needed a moon for a walk in the moonlight. Fortunately, he had brought his purple crayon. So he drew a moon. He also needed something to walk on. So he drew a path...

In all sincerity: I was a vaguely artistic only child.

Harold taught me to let my imagination run wild; be aware of my surroundings; make my own path (and shortcuts); make a boat if I'm drowning; always leave a trail so I can find my way back; make a note of where the Moon is in the sky; and that there is no place like home.
