      Dear Future Me,

I hope that you've accomplished everything that you wanted in the last 20 years. Right now I'm writing in the dorm you spent your first year of school in, and once again your roommate is out with her boyfriend. You can't really blame her, you'd be doing the same thing if you were her.

I hope that you have a well-paying job, and that if not that at least your family is getting by financially. Maybe you'll have kids by now, you should be what, 38 by now? I hope you have kids by now. And an amazing husband, I hope you've had nothing but happiness brought into your life lately.

It's scary to think that I'll find this in 20 years. I can't even begin to think what my life will be like in 20 years, I haven't even been alive in 20 years! Right now all I can think about is my deadline for the story I'm writing about her majesty's counsel general, that environment test I have on Monday, and the new iphone that dad is bringing me tomorrow. I hope that it just is him coming, I like when it's just the two of us, he's a lot more relaxed.

Anyways, I should be getting some sleep soon, I just hope that everything works out for you and you're successful, loved and happy. Never give up on the things that make you smile, even if it means disappointing a few people here and there. I was never good at letting people down, I wonder if that's changed over the years...

Wish me luck, I'll see you soon!
      -18 year old Liz.
