I do not have much memory of my early childhood, but the earliest clear memory is at nursery school. We had some huge plastic barrels with their ends cut out, outside in the playground. I thought it was fun to push a boy who was lying inside it down a hill in the playground. It can't have been a big hill, and the barrel was stopped by the perimeter fence, however when he got out he was covered in blood.

The staff rushed him out into a waiting ambulance after calling 999. I was left feeling incredibly guilty indeed!
