    • Remembering
    • The first sight I can remember vividly is my house on fire, there were several fire brigades, and the smell and noise of possessions burning,I was days away from making my first holy Communion, and I recall being in a neighbours house while the adults attended to what needed to be sorted.
My dog had died of smoke inhalation,or at least that's what they told me.
We stayed in another house while our burned down house was being renovated, and even though it was months before I went back home,I vividly recall the smell of burning was still present, and even now I can get the exact same smell when I remember.

I remember a house on fire too of many years ago. We were on our way to a family reunion and came up on it.The lady could only stand and watch it burn as she cried. I felt such empathy for her.
