    • Your favorite smell
    • Cedar. Cedar cannot be explained without describing, not only the smell of cedar, but sight and feel of cedar. Cedar has always been a part of my life. The smell of cedar goes back to childhood days of caring for our gerbil, Juliet. The fragrant chips refreshed the cage with the newness of a diaper change. Later, when I married, cedar was the smell of the hardy green shrub that could grew into rocks of Badlands, near our home of 14 years. Today I like the smell of cedar because it is plentiful near my workplace and homefront: the smell refreshes like a rose that pops up in winter. The smell of cedar makes me feel young again.
