    • I was taught many superstitions while growing up. Silly things like having to exit the same door you came in, sit on the same side of the dinner table, don't spill the salt and never ever step on a grave. I can laugh at those now, and I can laugh loudest because those imposed superstitions did not sink in with me, nor have I spread them to my children. The kids did ask me why they should not walk on graves though. My response: Someone may reach up and shake your hand! It's fun being a parent!
