When I was in college I went to an audition for a Shakespeare play. I was so intimidated that I never got out of my seat. I was afraid to audition! It took a couple of years of stage work to get over the fear. Now any day, any time, any where I'm ready to audition. As with all of life's obstacles, sometimes time and experience is the only way to get over a problem. I don't know if I could have done anything differently, I just had to GROW UP.
