    • My room at age ten

    • Small 10x12 concrete block room
      The house was set back into the hill
      So
      No windows, just a light shaft of glass bricks
      2 sets of 3 tier bunk beds for me and my 5 brothers
      my five sisters had a similar room on the window side of the house
      Our room had shelves for clothing, no drawers
      More a cell than a room
      What was the house we lived in was the basement of a house we never really completed
