I was a wee little lad, I'd say about 13 years when I got my absolute first job ever. I got to spend eight hours a day pulling tassels off of corn stalks. What are tassels? Not quite sure, but apparently they shouldn't be there. I made it through the entire summer, making a whopping minimum wage which at that time I believe to be in the 5-6 dollar range. Oh the tragedy of underpaid work. I got burnt to a crisp more days than I even want to remember.
