i didnt get a cell phone until i was in my second year of college, aka 2002. I never answer my house phone (my sister and mom will confirm this) and I screen ALL my phone calls. If it's important, leave a message. So a day without a cell phone is normal, except for the fact that it also functions as my timepiece, and I get antsy if I don't know the time.
