better yet, free universal health care. Other countries can afford it, so can we. Of course, Big Pharm and those rich doctors might actually have to return to HEALING rather than PROFITEERING and the insurance companies (aka legalized mafia protection rackets) would be out of the picture - so it'll never happen here.
One thing that I think needs to be considered when talking about universal health care? What about the fact that Americans, moreso than almost any other nation worldwide, has simply the most unhealthy population per capita. Consider that we have a huge population, many of which probably require large amounts of health care. I work at an insurance company right now, and I can say that allowing 300,000,000+ people complete access to the Government's funding for their health care would, in my opinion, accrue a cost that even the United States would find hard to handle. If anything, universal health-care would probably have to include immense price-caps on services rendered, more-so than most doctors and hospitals would be willing (and more in the realm of hospitals) able to adhere to. Sorry for the mouth-full, I'm bored at work.
Yes, but if you think about it in the end the health care industry will be up to date with this new reform. If anything, Personal Health care companies will benefit just as much as the hostpital since everything in the HIT field is becoming more and more digitzed.
