I worked at Macy's at New Park Mall in Newark California. In the Women's Shoe department, I made a stunning $8.20/hour plus commission. I gotta say that I was EXTREMELY lucky because I made about twice what other people flipping burgers made. Of course the drawbacks were that I spend probably half my salary buying things I didn't need to take advantage of the 20% employee discount. I did look good, though.
