I get paid to eat popcorn, watch movies well ahead of everyone else, babysit filmmakers and actors at times, and ultimately, tell stories about storytelling.
All throughout the years I've held this job, I learnt that was the best way to answer when someone asked what I did for a living. It never fails to elicit a "hey-I-want-that-job-how-do-I-apply-for-such-a-job" reaction. It's definitely better than stating my job title outright which in turn would get the "so-what-exactly-do-you-do" follow-up question (as if my job was not "credible" especially to fellow "marketers").
So, I let reverse snobbery drive home the message. It works in a world that is constantly exposed, if not obsessed, with celluloid dreams.
