I would have to honestly say I'm not quite sure what I do on a daily basis - you get interrupted so many times a day it is sometimes hard to achieve anything.

But typically the job I have consists of:
helping people find what books they need;
recommending fiction reading;
helping people use the internet;
teaching staff about new (and old) technologies;
ordering book stock and DVD's/CDs;
managing library software, budgets and staff;
rosters
writing programme proposals....... etc

Definitely no tim eto sit around and read!
