So, let's be honest here: I live in a basement. And it sucks.

Not the place itself, mind you, just living in a basement. I do have a lovely big room that's nicely laid out (and I will be somewhat sad to surrender come the end of April), but that's really the only perk.

The worst thing about living in my concrete shell is the fact that there's very little light. My bedroom gets the most of it, but even that is paltry. LIght opens spaces up, clears out your head, puts you in a happier frame of mind. If I had my way, I'd have a house almost entirely made of glass- as many freaking windows as I can afford to put in. And then a skylight. Studded with diamonds.

Time to move up!
