    • The Exposure Effect
    • Paper Planes by M.I.A.

This song exploded onto my consciousness when I started hearing it played in retail stores, commercials, and on rare occasions when I'd listen to the radio. Without listening to the lyrics, I thought that the gun shots were a really cheap effect to add into a song, but then Slumdog Millionaire woke me up to the fact that M.I.A. actually had a message to convey through the music, so I fell in love.

My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson

Oh, Kelly. It's only because you deliver those lyrics with such conviction that I finally gave in and decided to revel in the cliched nature of MYWSWY. "You got a piece of me / and honestly, / my life would suck without you."

Don't Stop the Music by Rihanna

Originally, when I listened through Rihanna's whole album, I enjoyed the track. It turns out, however, that one's opinion of "catchy and fun" can quickly transition into "obnoxious and repetitive" after hearing something getting abused all over the airwaves and now I internally cringe if it ever comes on.
