• When I realized I was a grown-up
    • I was born an adult. It wasn't until I became a parent that I realized I was actually a child! Yes, I'm living my life backwards. As the oldest of 4 children, who unfortunately had to bear a few traumas, I was the adult until I had my own children and now I am the child because I CAN be. When I find myself worrying or obsessing over life's adult troubles, I can reach out to my children and remember what is REALLY important and that is... Ice cream and cookies.

Well, RAISING a child is a different story. There are many times that require you to be an adult in order to allow your children to remain in their childhood. But, may I make a suggestion? Borrow someone else's child once a week and take them to the park and out for ice cream. That would be good for everyone involved! That's where and when you can BE a child is when you are playing.
