I love Death Cab for Cutie but their song "Why would you want to live here" is totally...like...bogus...ya know?

Everybody hates on poor California. Sure it has it's hobos and dirty alleys. The phonies and the gangs. But we californians accept who we are. The hobos and the gangsters, the nerds and the philanthropists are all welcome. We are a true mesh of people. I'm a bit biased seeing as how I've lived in CA all my life but I truly think CA is one of the most progressive parts of America. And its melting pot culture has made me open minded. I feel like I've seen the whole world living in CA. Okay that's a bit of exaggeration. But where else would you be practically required to speak another language to get a public service job? We have our problems like everybody else but I love us. Truly. So that's why I would write a song. We're unique and shallow, progressive and backwards. All the good comes with the bad.
