I dated this well-to-do guy for a while. He treated me pretty well, but he treated himself better. A dinner at McDonald's for us here, a brand new iPod for him there. It was getting old. He was just as stubborn as I am, so dropping subtle hints to him never really worked. It wasn't the worst thing about our relationship, but it was probably the breaking point.
Eventually I decided to confront him about it. Like I said, he was just as stubborn as I am, so of course he got angry and indignant with me - "I spend just as much, if not more money on you" - and the huge shouting match began. I wasn't willing to back down, though. He kept trying to one-up me and one-up me, but I'm pretty sure I won when I set him on fire.
