I can say with some pride that I have never been the one being dumped. Holla! Instead, I was the dumper. Probably the worst one was in the 7th grade. He was my boyfriend for about 11 seconds. And only about 7 of those seconds were actually spent within 4 feet of one another. The remaining 4 seconds of our relationship were spent wondering if I was really ready for this type of commitment. I mean, having a boyfriend would guarantee a partner for the slow songs at the the dance but I just didn't know if we were "right" for one another. The answer was clear. We had to end it. So I pulled the ultimate shady move a girl could do. I had my friend break-up with him for me. I just couldn't bare to see his face when I broke his heart. Granted, this is the same face that I probably not pick out of a line-up today.

And every other lame excuse of a relationship I have had (aside from my current one of course) I have been the one who ended it. I think I even ended things with Grant the first time even though I think it was sort of a mutual decision. But, it was the best decision I ever made. Nothing made me realize that he was the person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with more than the year I spent without him.
