    • Better than a cereal box
    • While I wish I could say cereal box, I have to say "The Radio" as my main source of news.

I have been listening to NPR religiously since college. I read the paper online as well, but I can always count on good old NPR to fill me in on the major headlines of the day, the major news of the times, and some in depth reporting on local and national issues. Oh and they have programming like "This American Life" also, which I realize shows off just how white I am. (At least that dude from Stuff White People Like would agree).

Anyway, why NPR, specifically 90.9 WBUR? Well, I HATE the television news. I have hated it probably since my Dad used to kick us kids out of the living room when I was young so that he could watch the news. Of course when I got older and started to appreciate the value of knowing what was going on in the world I began to hate the sensationalism, the graphic images, the commercials, the teasers, and the fluff pieces. Especially the fluff pieces on the local news. Good lord. That whole cat fashion show bit they do on Anchor Man is really not far off from most local 5 o'clock news stations.
