i have very little use for "the news".
okay, honestly, i don't get my news from cereal boxes. but...
newspapers are, well, a waste of paper. if i read a newspaper it's most likely the local alternative indie paper, which comes out once a week and is free.
i haven't watched television in over a decade. i can't stand the commercials. i don't have cable tv and i don't have a digital converter... soon i won't be able to watch tv if i want to anyway.
i can depend on my friends and family to offer up their perspective of what's going on in the world, if it comes up in conversation.
the internet, on the other hand, offers me a wide variety of free and accessible news sources. i like the internet.
