It was the ice storm of 98 in Maine. Things had not been going well. I called him and a woman answered the phone. When I asked him about who she was he said that she had no place to stay because she had no power so he let her stay at his house. Such a nice guy. It's interesting as I look back. I remember driving by his work and the whole city was in a black out little did I know that even though it was exciting to be able to feel like it was 100 years before without electricity, that my heart would have this black whole feeling for months.
