Right now we recycle about 40% of our waste. I say that because each week we send out about 3 bags worth of trash to the dump and 2 bags worth of recycling. We also are great proponents of buying used or otherwise recycled "things." Yes, we do use compact flourescents. But we cut our energy usage even more by setting our heater low in the winter and not using the air conditioner AT ALL in the summer, unless the temperature is in the upper 90s.
