  • What city would you retire to if money were no object? See all answers
    • I get all shook up when I think about San Francisco
    • Please don't make me have to wait until my "Golden Years" to live in The City! I fell in love with San Francisco the first time I saw it. It's a wacky place (which just fits my personality). That a 5th generation Texan (who doesn't like crowds) would choose San Francisco as "home" still seems incongruous to me, but that's what it is.

Money would HAVE to be "no object," because if I lived there, I would want to try a different restaurant every day and go to the theater twice a week. I'd want to live near Union Square, because it is where I feel the heartbeat of the city. However, if you forced me to live in the Embarcadero district it wouldn't kill me.

I'm also going to have to get in shape. Walking the hills is murder for an old broad!

SFO works for me. I fell in love with the city, too, but liked the wine country even more.
