Just a few days after my now husband and I met, he was deployed to Okinawa, Japan for 9 months. He called me almost every day. It was right after work for him and about 2am for me. We would also get on the computer and be able to see each other via webcam. We wrote letters and sent gifts. We have been married now for almost 5 years so I would say we made it through very well.
