Yes. Actually there is 'pet therapy' where you take pets (dogs, cats, etc) to like hospitals and nursing homes, depending on certain criteria. But animals are supposed to be good for you in that they cheer you up. But you not only get to pet the animals but you encourage others to pet them as well. I would guess it works for the pets also. Who wouldn't want this job.
