stalking
It irritates me to no end when people talk about 'Facebook stalking' people. LoLoL you, like, totally creeped all their pics and comment on their status all the time and stuff! You must be, like, totally Facebook stalking them! NO. People do not understand the connotative meaning of the work stalk apparently. It's not a happy word. It's not a funny word. When someone is stalked, they are harassed with UNWANTED and OBSESSIVE attention by someone who makes sure their presence is known but is sure to keep their distance. No, I haven't been stalked, so it's not personal. I just hate to see language butchered and its meaning detracted when words are tossed around.
Don't even get me started on the word 'epic'.
