There are some decent photos of Red Cliffs on this website. http://www.utahoutdooractivities.com/redcliffs.html
Red Cliffs Recreation Area is my favorite place to convene with nature. It's a little oasis in the desert of Southern Utah. I grew up about a 15 minutes drive from here, in a small town called Hurricane (pronounced "her-uh-kin"). The name is pretty self explanatory. There are a lot of red cliffs in the area, and for someone not used to red rocks, it's pretty amazing. There is also a stream that runs through there for part of the year with a couple of nice little water falls and some great hiking. The best part about this place is how unpopular it is. There is enough hiking in the surrounding area that the locals don't generally go here often, and Zion Canyon is only an hour away, so it's definitely not a tourist spot and anyone looking for cool hiking is going to go there. If you go on a week day afternoon there is no one there and it's very peaceful.
