Lotus Espirit, Drivers Side

When I was little and video games were retro, my favourite racing game was Lotus Turbo Challenge II on our Amiga 500. I always chose the sexy red Espirit over the slightly less cool white Elise, and I'd tear up those courses like nobody's business. Turns out I'm a pretty good virtual racer, for a girl.

Then when I was a bit older and video games weren't as retro as they once were, just about every day on my way to school I'd see someone driving a purple Lotus Espirit. That car was so hot, it might as well have been Johnny Depp on wheels. From then on my mind was set. Miss Espirit would be mine. Oh yes, she would be mine.
