- When in Doubt, Deny, Deny, DENY!!!
-
Deny that you did it (I wasn't there, I wouldn't know how, it was a look-alike). No evidence is too strong to deny that it was you...unless there's video evidence, in which case you deny any ill intentions (i.e. I was actually trying to {fill in the blank}, I didn't mean to, etc). Try to deny any connection whatsoever (such as Donald Rumsfeld with the Abu Ghraib scandal).
If that doesn't work, just claim your guilt (Yeah I did it, what are YOU gonna do about it?!). Nothing throws people off like being proud of your actions when it was blatant that you were wrong. That's how politicians, CEO's, and gangsters roll...
HOWEVER, it is important to note that accepting your guilt works best if you don't try the denial route first. Also, once you've claimed your guilt, there is no switching back to the denial method. If you find yourself in this kind of bind, I suggest you flee to Venezuela, as the U.S. has no extradition treaty with them...That's how politicians, CEO's, and gangsters roll.
