    • Halloween Horror Night wasn't as fun as you'd think
    • Years ago we thought it would be fun to go to Universal's Halloween Horror Night. I am not big on Halloween, but as a kid I always like going to haunted houses and I was really looking forward to some spectacular ones. Afterall, it's Universal and they should be able to afford to make really awesome ones. Right?

The night we went it was extremely hot outside. The lines to get into the haunted houses took about an hour. We were all getting cranky from the long wait and the heat. When we finaly got into the haunted house they didn't have anyone spacing people out. We were just all bunched together. The haunted house was basically just standing in line, like we had already done for an hour. Because we were all bunched together you could see what was coming up ahead of you. It was totally not scary, boring, and a waste of money. The cheap haunted houses of my youth were ten times better. And I don't think that it is because I was young and foolish. I think Universal didn't put any creativity into it and it ended up being really lame.

The only good part about the night was going out with friends and family and drinking beer from glasses that lit up. I don't even like beer, it must have been the glass that made it acceptable. :-) I still have the glass and it still lights up... sweet.
