  • If the shoes make the man (or woman), what do your shoes say about you right now? See all answers
    • So, socks, what do you have to say?
    • First of all, there's a glaring spelling/grammar (depending on how you want to categorize it) error in this prompt. It should read: "Assuming you're wearing shoes." This kind-of, sort-of, somewhat breaks my heart.

Anyway, I am currently not wearing shoes. This is for several reasons: I only managed to pull myself out of bed but 15 minutes ago, new carpet in the house means no wearing shoes in the house, and my socks are so cute (today: white with hearts of different shades and hues of red) that it's a real tragedy when I have to cover them up with shoes.

Let's see, what do my socks say about me? I think they say that I'm, like, super fun and adorable (wow, my socks are spot on with that one). I'm also all about the love (see the decoration of hearts), that I'm pretty modest (I'm choosing to wear socks as opposed to going barefoot--this is not always the case, but that interpretation does fit me rather well) and I probably care a little bit too much what other people think of me (they're ankle socks, and I remember when people first started wearing them in middle school. I, however, had to wear my same old socks that showed an inch or two above the mouth of the shoe and I was very conscious of how 'uncool' this was. I started folding my socks over so that it would look like I was wearing ankle socks and was therefore cool. I believe my love/obsession with cute ankle socks stems from these detrimental middle school years).

Now, this may be a stretch, but I believe my socks also say that I am fearless, loyal, compassionate, intelligent, witty, beautiful--inside and out--wicked cool, a great story teller, an even awesomer (OK, OK!--more awesome) friend and sister, and just overall an amazing and outstanding person of character. Yup, I think that sums it all up quite nicely. Thanks, socks!

Side note: I'd write a bit about what my shoes actually say about me, but I have some twenty pairs, and I just don't think you people would care that much.

Great stuff--looking at my muddy socks, I don't want to think what that means...
