    • “Do you think she woke up one morning and said: I think I'll go to law school today.” ~Professor Callahan, Legally Blonde

Easy answer! When I first told people I was going to law school they would cock their head, look me up and down, and say “Yeah, I can see that. Elle, right?”

Why fight this ignorant, elitist stereotype? Let’s embrace!

Elle Woods, will you be my bestest of best friends?

Just think of what we could accomplish together!

No one is taking your pink polka-dotted lobbying in Washington seriously. Better that you hang-up that acrylic dream and head to where the action is.

(psst, that’s Florida Family Law, sweetie)

The two of us would be unstoppable in family court.

We’ll represent the underrepresented in need: the poor, cheated upon house husbands; ignored children of the rich and fabulous; neglected miniature dogs and bunnies.

{{GASP!}} We could even create our own television show!

We’ll put your Harvard degree to use and place you on the local judicial circuit. You’ll be tickled pink campaigning! We’ll dress you in all my shoes and Chanel. Prance you around Florida. You can be Elle, the Jubilant Judge.

(It’s better that you sit in that big chair, honey, because you’re kind of tiny and I’m just shy of 6 feet tall in my kick-$$ court heels. Wouldn’t want to dwarf greatness.)

You’ll be the reigning queen of divorce court...not to mention television ratings. We’re such great friends that I’ll settle for status of princess (less wrinkles) and quietly fight my adoption cases on the side.

Oh, Elle, what’d you say? Who needs creditability. Who needs respect? We’ll bend and snap our way to greatness ,-)

I absolutely think it's terrific that you sat and had a ten-minute long conversation with a movie character. Thumbs up on that one! Also, I think you just wrote a new bumpersticker:"You're the Queen? You can have the wrinkles - I'll just stick to being a Princess."
