a boyfriend of mine a few years ago was always trying to watch star trek with me, but i was very hesitant. id never seen it and it seemed lame. one day i was feeling generous, so i let him watch. it was star trek: the next generation. i had to admit, it wasnt as bad as i thought. i was still under the impression that it was too geeky for me, but let him watch it periodically when i was with him. one day, he suggested that we watch scrubs instead, when i was expecting to sit through star trek again...and something inside of me just boiled up, and i was so angry at him for wanting to change the channel. i realized then that i needed to reexamine my supposed feelings for star trek, and ive been happily trekking ever since :)
