Sorry, there's no place called justice. The Pie Hole, were it real and uncanceled, would probably be my place for dessert.

As it stands, I do not have a sweet tooth (gasp shock horror my diabetes is coming from non-sugar carbs okay we're over it now), but I love me some flan. Baja Bean is not about good flan. It is about margarita specials and Tuesday night karaoke and undergrads crawling about The Corner.

But one odd night out, K., E., R., and I were being silly and somehow the end of our hilarious meal with wonderful company was this flan. It was perfect texture and had maybe a hint of cinnamon - buh?? Who knows. All I know is that many combinations of the four of us tried to recreate this, but the flan was never quite the same.

It wasn't the company either because let's be honest, there were some fallings-out among us. It just never tasted as good again. What did Baja take out?
