    • For me, it was sushi. The idea of eating raw fish was unappetizing from an early age. The idea somehow grew on me and I ventured to try it while visiting my brother in Portland; his treat. I ordered a colorful assortment of different fish. It didn't look or smell bad. I mixed wasabi with soy sauce for dipping. I picked up a nice piece of yellow fin tuna and dropped the entire thing in my mouth. At first I thought I was going to gag on it, and almost threw it up. But after I chewed on it for a few seconds and swallowed, I realized I liked it quite a lot. Sushi is now one of my favorites!

I'm convinced that it's not sushi that is so good but the wasabi. So my sushi strategy is to get as much of that green glob as possible to make the rest palatable ,-)

You might be right. But too much of the wasabi makes my eyes water and my mouth cry.
