Richard was my 8 year old friend who lived next door and had all the ice cream (His dad drove an ice cream truck so whenever he was out on route, we use to sneak some).
Richard and I took apart our mom's brooms and stole ties from my dad's closet. We cut holes in the ties and wrapped them around our eyes. We also cut out cardboard boxes and drew squarish shapes on them and colored them with green markers. By the time we were done, we were Ninja Turtles fighting Shredder and the Foot.
We use to fight of the evil villains for hours and hours, only stopping to refill on ice cream. We would swing our broom sticks at the black clad imaginary soldiers in an effort to save April the beautiful reporter. This game never really got old. We never ended up beating Shredder either.
And although I'm closing in on 30 now, I still sneak out in the backyard and swing sticks around when no one is looking.
Shredder, I'll get you!!!
(Consequently, Richard got in a lot of trouble when we ate all that ice cream)
