any trashy book is a good beach read. anything that makes your face flush is good.

at the beach you want to be able to read something that doesn't use any brain cells. you want to be able to read a few lines, watch the surf and then go back & not care that you had no idea what the last few lines said.

and let's just get this straight. . a beach book is very different from a good lazy-day read. if it's raining, or if you are staying in for the day & having a lazy-day. . the reading choice changes dramatically to biographies of ancient european royalty.
