    • My parents got the whole family these passes to Disney when I was in 4th grade. They were pricey, but thought of it as "family time," so the expense was justified. What even more justified the purchase was the amount of time we used them. My parents took us to Disney at least twice a week for a year. They would check us out of school early to take us. "It's a Small World" was my brother's favorite ride, so we'd go on it every time. I wanted to do some really bad things to the puppets...

But the worst time was when I had been bitten by a soldier ant. Seriously - soldier ants are some badass creatures and if you get bitten on the foot, it swells up to the point of not being able to put on a shoe. So, there I am, in school, barely making it... and my parents pick us up to go to Disney. I remember walking around the park, the venom swishing around on my foot, and just wishing I were dead. It was one of the most painful experiences of my life and it happened in the place where dreams are supposed to happen.
