Dirty dishes

Allowing dirty dishes to simmer for over a week in a sink full of water should be outlawed. This is a biohazard, a crime against civilized domestic living. The act of leaving said filth lying about attracts insects and other unpleasant creatures of many creeping legs. It is an embarrassment to the mindful host and a despairing calamity to contend with in the morning, when all a half-asleep individual wishes for is a bowl of granola cereal or hot oatmeal whereby to nourish one's tired body.
