A wedding playlist is something that must be crafted carefully. It has to get your older relatives drunk and dancing, but it also has to appeal enough to the younguns, so they don't get bored and end up doing something silly like getting drunk and dancing for the first time. Luckily, there's a surprising amount of songs that cross the generation gap. In my experience, Motown hits are a surefire winner at any wedding.

But I've not chosen three songs for the ideal wedding playlist. No, my picks are the ones you should run away from. These songs were good, once. They would tug at your heartstrings and inspire you to hug your nearest and dearest a little tighter. But then they got overplayed, and now hearing these slices of cheese played at weddings shows a total lack of imagination and disrespect for your guests, who will no doubt groan with horror three bars into the intro.
